The cross border closure between Canada and the US expires May 21st but talks are underway to extend the closure to non essential travel for another month.
Prime Minister Trudeau said today talks with the US are going well.
Adding it’s not the time to open it up just yet, even though things are opening up slowly on both sides of the border.
Currently the agreement exempts the flow of trade and commerce and health care workers who work on one side of the border and live on the other.
