It’s Tampon Tuesday in Chatham-Kent.
This is the annual collection of feminine hygiene products, which are the most requested but least donated item at women’s centres and outreach organizations.
This event, like the past few years, will be drive-thru style. The United Way of Chatham-Kent will be accepting donations from 9am-3pm at 425 McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.
Pads, tampons, and menstrual cups will be accepted, along with other hygiene items, cash, and gift cards.
Last year, over 2000 donations were donated and distributed to more than two dozen community groups and agencies that support women.
