Teacher Nancy Schinkelshoek says it’s a good way to bring new students into the Tartan family.

“They’re in groups of 10 with senior students as their leaders,” Schinkelshoek says. “They rotate around to different staff members and participate in activities that are designed to allow them to get to know each other, get to know some great senior leaders, and the staff involved as well.”

Schinkelshoek says the students carry the experience through their high school career, and many return to it as seniors to show the new Grade 9 students the ropes.
