After years of making it to the big game only to be disappointed, the Wallaceburg Tartans were crowned Kent Senior Football Champion Saturday after they defeated the CKSS Golden Hawks 38-12.

Jonah Pataki lead the Wallaceburg District Secondary School offense scoring 4-touchdowns. Jon Ashby scored the only CKSS Golden Hawks touchdown on a 26-yard pass from CKSS quarterback Clark Green.

Wallaceburg will now advance to face Sarnia St. Christopher’s next weekend in the SWOSSAA Semi-Final. The Tartans enter their SWOSSAA semi-final game undefeated this season with an 8-0 record.
