Chatham-Kent Police had to resort to using a taser while dealing with a combative suspect in Wallaceburg.
A motorist called police just before 10:30 Tuesday night and said the accused was following them.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and confirmed the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant for bail violations.
The accused allegedly attacked the officers as they tried to place him under arrest. A conducted energy weapon was deployed and the suspect was taken into custody.
The man has now been charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
