Teacher Job Action Ramps Up

Another teachers’ union has joined the fray when it comes to job action against the province.

The union representing Ontario’s French-language teachers is expected to begin its own work to rule campaign tomorrow, mainly affecting administrative duties.

The AEFO represents almost 12-thousands elementary and high school teachers, including those in the Conseil Scolaire Catholic Providence.

Public elementary teachers are planning rotating strikes starting Monday, and English Catholic teachers are holding a one-day strike next Tuesday that will affect elementary and secondary schools in those boards.

Public high school teachers are staging another round of rotating one-day strikes today, although the local board isn’t affected.
