Teachers across Ontario are ramping up their job action as contract disputes with the province drag on. 
After talks between the government and Ontario English Catholic Teachers broke down on Friday, the union announced its staff would begin a work-to-rule campaign starting today, refusing to take part in any Ministry of Education initiatives, including standardized EQAO tests.
Meantime, the rotating strikes by public high school teachers continue this week with 16 boards being targeted, however the Lambton-Kent board won’t be affected.
And public elementary teachers are expanding their ongoing work-to-rule campaign starting today, refusing to take part in any extra-curricular activities outside of regular school hours, and if no deal can be reached, full rotating strikes could begin next Monday.
