Public elementary teachers are continuing rotating strikes today, and both the OSSTF and OECTA are walking off the job, shutting down all schools within the Lambton Kent and St Clair Catholic District School Boards.

ETFO members will also be taking part in a province-wide walkout on Thursday.

Talks between the government and ETFO broke down Friday night.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association returned to the bargaining table yesterday, however, it wasn’t enough to prevent today’s prevent a full-scale walkout from happening.

No talks are planned with the OSSTF.

The union representing French teachers, which wrapped up two days of talks last Thursday, has two more bargaining sessions scheduled this week.
