Education officials have selected a name for a soon-to-be consolidated elementary school in Chatham.
On the recommendation of the Ad Hoc Naming Committee, trustees with the Lambton Kent District School Board have decided to keep the name Tecumseh Public School when it is merged with John N Given.
Input was collected from students, parents, and members of the community – 119 survey submissions were received, with 94% supporting the Tecumseh name.
English language from John N Given will be moving to Tecumseh next September.
