A Chatham teen has been arrested following a violent confrontation in downtown Chatham.
Shortly after 3:30 Sunday afternoon, police were called about an alleged assault at an apartment on Fifth Street.
Authorities say a young woman got into an argument with the victim and the accused was asked to leave the property. The teen then allegedly hit the victim in the face, resulting in a minor injury.
Officers found the accused in a neighbouring unit and brought her into custody.
The 15-year-old has been charged with assault and was released with conditions and a date in court next month.
