Charges have been laid in connection with an unprovoked attack in downtown Chatham.
Chatham-Kent Police say a woman was walking along King Street East shortly after 8:30 Tuesday evening when she was approached by another woman, whom she did not know. Authorities say the other woman slapped the victim in the face.
The 19-year-old accused was arrested and charged with one count of assault.
The teen will have to answer to a judge in court in October.
