
A local man has been charged after threats were made toward a teenager and his family.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a 17-year-old froma Leamington reported to police that a man had threatened to physically assault him and his family in the area of Riverview Drive in Chatham on October 17.
Following an investigation, a warrant was issued for the arrest of a 30-year-old Chatham man.
While responding to a noise complaint on Friday shortly after 8 p.m., officers located the suspect on Merritt Avenue and took him into custody. The accused is now charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm and was later released with a future court date.
