Two teenagers have been charged after allegedly attacking a woman with bear spray in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a woman entered a business on Queen Street after being assaulted with bear spray by two unknown youths at around 12:17 a.m. on Friday.
Officers immediately responded to the area and located two suspects, who were arrested.
As a result, two boys aged 15 and 16 have been charged with one count each of assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance. The 15-year-old has also been charged with failing to comply with undertaking and was held in custody for a bail hearing. The 16-year-old has since been released from custody with conditions and a future court date.
