Telling the Story of Local Waterways Through Art

A new exhibit is on display at the Wallaceburg and District Museum’s art gallery.

Presented by WATCH Citizen Science, in partnership with the Wallaceburg & District Museum and the Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts, the My Story community exhibition brings together artwork and stories inspired by our local waterways, from Dresden to Sombra and Walpole Island.

Pieces created by artists, students, and storytellers share how they see and experience the Sydenham, Snye, and St. Clair Rivers.

“Every drop, every story, every person adds to the understanding of how water shapes who we are,” said Sherri-Anne Wills, Program Steward for WATCH Citizen Science in a news release. “This exhibition is filled with the voices and creativity of our community. It’s a reminder that when we share our stories, we also learn from one another.”

The My Story community exhibition runs through March 24. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
