Chatham-Kent high school students interested in furthering their education in visual arts may be eligible for a new scholarship.
The Thames Art Gallery in Chatham is awarding the $1,000 scholarship to a student applying to study one of the following programs as part of their post-secondary education: visual arts, fine arts, film, photography, animation, digital media, graphic design and craft.
This scholarship was made possible through a donation from an anonymous sponsor.
Eligible students must submit an application and portfolio of work by email to the Thames Art Gallery and are encouraged to include a variety of media. Those applying must then be available for an interview with the museum’s curator.
The deadline to apply is April 16 with interviews taking place between April 19-21.
The recipient of the Thames Art Gallery Scholarship Award will be announced during the opening of the HERE I AM Virtual Exhibition on May 3.
