Thanksgiving Weekend Brings Service Closures

The Thanksgiving weekend is upon us, and with it comes a list of service closures.

All municipal offices and Service Ontario desks will be closed on Monday as staff celebrate the holiday.

Leaf and yard depots and transfer stations will be shut down. There will be no garbage or recycling collection on the 14th and pick-ups for the rest of the week will be delayed by a day.

Libraries across Chatham-Kent will be shut down, and Ride CK buses will not be running.

On the health care side of things, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be running on its standard holiday schedule. Ambulatory Care Services, outpatient rehab, health records and patient appointment offices will be closed on Monday. Some outpatient diagnostic tests will take place, as well all pre-scheduled appointments.

The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program outpatient department and Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine Clinic will also be shut down for the holiday.

Emergency Departments in Wallaceburg and Chatham remain open 24 hours a day.
