Just a couple of days after Wallaceburg’s Base Line Bridge was reopened by the municipality, it’s about to close again.
They warned it would have to be closed down next week and have now decided to close the bridge to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Monday May 17th, and Tuesday the 18th, 8am-4pm each day.
This is to commission and balance the bridge, and will also require intermittent closures the rest of the week.
Small boats will have access but not the larger boats that require the bridge to be opened, and will not have access until further notice.
Keep in mind, these closures and delays are dependent on the weather cooperating.
