Municipal officials want to make sure those on social assistance aren’t affected by the ongoing Canada Post dispute. 
Ontario Works cheques will not be mailed out for the time being.
Instead, recipients will have to bring photo ID, or two pieces of non-photo ID to the nearest Employment & Social Services office starting next Tuesday.
For clients who have direct deposit into their bank accounts, funds will be deposited as usual on October 31st.
