The Chatham-Kent WISH Centre is taking their case to the public.
As they prepare for the eventual re opening of the Centre they have learned the municipality may have other plans.
They believe the municipality is intent on moving the homeless shelter currently in place at the Bradley center, and one of the possible locations for this temporary shelter is the WISH Centre.
The representatives of the centre point out the disruptions would include children’s programs, after school programs Special Olympics, community groups, East Side Pride, and the Black Historical Museum.
They are asking their supporters to email councilors and ask the temporary shelter be established somewhere else.
