Firefest will take place in downtown Chatham today for the final time.
The event that expects to draw thousands is a great place to check out hundreds of emergency vehicles from as far away as Maine and South Carolina.
There will be police cars, ambulances, and of course fire trucks for the kids to climb on and play in.
The event runs from 10-4, and when it’s over the hundreds of vehicles will leave together, in parade fashion heading west on grand Ave.
This is the final year because of a funding issue.
