The Ursuline College Musical Theatre Company wants to take audiences on a magical journey under the sea.
Rehearsals are underway for the Pines’ production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, set to take the stage at the UCC Theatre April 29th through May 2nd.
Inspired by Hans Christian Anderson’s tale, the story follows Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, who dreams of pursuing human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull, and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea.
Thee cast includes Leah Jackson as Ariel, Alex Monette as Prince Eric, and Francesca Foex as Ursula, the sea witch, alongside a large and talented cast of UCC student performers, accompanied by the UCC orchestra.
