For the second year in a row, the pandemic has ruined plans for the Maple Syrup Festival next weekend at the A. W. Campbell Conservation Authority in Alvinston.

The St. Clair Regional Conservation Authority announced it just wasn’t in the best interest of everyone involved.

The annual festival focused on the making of maple syrup and the role it has played in the lives of First Nations People over the decades.

The festival was expected to draw 1,000 people, and there is a hope the festival can return next year.
