Since January 10th there have been 100 positive tests at the long term care facility.

In a statement, Tracey Maxim, the Administrator, said “even with the positive changes in our home, we remain vigilant in these infection prevention and control practices for the continued health and safety of all residents and staff. We are part of a larger family at Fairfield Park that is made up of our residents, their families, and our staff. The kind of support from our community and our families has been truly amazing and has made all the difference to our care team as we work hard in service of our residents. While this challenge is not yet over, and there is a lot of work left to do, it is clear both inside our home and in the community that we are closer and more connected than ever before, even as we remain physically distant. “

She added most of the staff have returned to duty and the residents are happy to see their familiar faces.
