THE TREWS TO ROCK RETROFEST

Retrofest 2013 – Rock with “The Trews”

CHATHAM (April 5, 2013) – Culture Factory, with the support of RM Auctions, is thrilled to present JUNO Award nominees and multiple award winners The Trews at a free concert in Tecumseh Park on May 25, as part of Retrofest 2013.

“With the addition of The Trews to this year’s Retrofest, it is shaping up to be the biggest event Chatham-Kent has ever seen!” says Fannie Vavoulis, Board Chair, Culture Factory. “This concert is perfectly in keeping with Culture Factory’s mission to enrich Chatham-Kent’s already vibrant music scene, and it wouldn’t have been possible without RM’s generous support.”

The Trews, a Canadian band originally from the East Coast, are backed by four albums, including two certified Gold in Canada, and 13 Top 10 Canadian singles. Over the past number of years, they have toured Canada, the U.S.A., Europe, and Australia, gaining a loyal following from around the world. The concert in Tecumseh Park will feature many of The Trews’ well-known hits and bangers, providing a musical atmosphere the entire family can enjoy.

“RM Auctions is delighted to support Culture Factory and Retrofest in bringing The Trews to Chatham for a free concert in the park,” says Rob Myers, Chairman and Founder, RM Auctions. “Retrofest is a fantastic event that highlights Chatham as the Classic Car Capital of Canada, while also benefitting local businesses and providing wonderful entertainment that the entire family can enjoy. RM has supported Retrofest since its inception, but this year we look forward to ‘creating havoc’ and making this the biggest and best event Chatham has ever seen!”

Saturday evening’s events will kick off at 7:30 p.m. in Tecumseh Park, with The Trews taking the stage at 9:00 p.m. The event will be family friendly, with an unlicensed section for families, a designated beer garden hosted by the Knights of Columbus, and a number of food vendors on site.
