Theatre Kent is unveiling its lineup for the 2023-24 community theatre season.
As Ontario schools add Holocaust education to the grade 6 curriculum, Theatre Kent’s season opener is I Never Saw Another Butterfly, a touching tribute to the children of Terezin, a ghetto in the Czech Republic under Nazi rule in World War II.
The show will feature performers between the ages of 12 and 25. Co-directors Elisabeth Enzlin and Tim Luimes have a vision to highlight the talents of youth and young adults both on stage and behind the scenes. Auditions will be held on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 at St Andrews United Fellowship Hall in Chatham, and will include reading a short monologue, which will be provided, singing a short song of your choice, and vocal range testing.
The 2023-24 Season will also include The Cemetery Club directed by J.C. Wright, and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown directed by Eric Bristow with musical director Aimee Clifford.
