A local man is back in police custody after allegedly making threats in Cedar Springs.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Talbot Trail address at around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday after a Raleigh Township resident was threatened.

Authorities arrived at the scene and arrested a suspect, who was also bound by the conditions of a probation order to keep the peace and be on good behaviour. Police also seized a firearm during the arrest, despite the man being prohibited.

As a result, a 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man is now charged with uttering threats, failing to comply with a probation order, and possessing a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
