Two men and a woman are facing charges after allegedly being caught red-handed during a break-and-enter in Raleigh Township.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a break-and-enter in progress at an unspecified address and located three individuals who had entered a fenced compound with the intention of committing a crime.

As a result, a 37-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman from Wheatley, along with a 42-year-old man from Leamington, are all charged with one count each of break-and-enter and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

It was also learned that the 37-year-old was wanted in connection to another theft incident and he was held in custody for a bail hearing. The other two suspects were released from custody with a March court date.
