Chatham-Kent was well represented in Saturday’s OHL Priority Selection Draft, with three local prospects taking the step up to Junior “A”.
As expected, it didn’t take long for Blenheim’s Brady Stonehouse to come off the board. The Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs star was selected in the second round, 26th overall by the Ottawa 67’s.
Teammate Zander Veccia of Ridgetown was picked in the third round, 43rd overall by Mississauga.
Chatham’s Ryan Gagner is now a Peterborough Pete. The C-K Cyclones product was a sixth round pick, selected 115th overall.
