
A charitable organization that provides respite for local first responders is extending its services to the partners of fire fighters, police, and paramedics.
A special day of relaxation for the spouses and partners of first responders is being held at Three Oaks Cabin in Florence are on July 18. Organizers say the event aims to provide connection, practical wellness tools, and space to recharge.
The Spousal Support Day will include a nutrition workshop, yoga and pilates, lunch and dinner, and a chance to explore the cabin trails.
Three Oaks Cabin, which opened in 2023, provides solace and restoration for farmers and first responders. The cabin was built in memory of Dalles Bergesma, a farmer and member of the Dawn Euphemia Fire Department, who died by suicide in 2020.
