This weekend marks the 42nd annual Thamesville Threshing Festival.
As always, everything kicks off Friday night with the big parade, organizer Kristy Metcalfe says it’s always a lot of fun.
“We’ve had bragging rights as one of the largest parades in southwestern Ontario,” Metcalfe says. “We’re theming it this year to be Canada’s 150th birthday, so encouraging our entries to really decorate their floats.”
The parade gets underway at 6pm, and the O’Hara Brothers take the stage in Ferguson Park at 9.
Events continue tomorrow with a midway, cutest baby contest, lawnmower races, farmer Olympics, and live entertainment.
