Coffee lovers across Chatham-Kent and beyond will be giving kids a life-changing experience this week.

Today is the annual Camp Day fundraiser at Tim Hortons restaurants. Proceeds from all purchases of hot or iced coffee, as well as Take 12 coffee boxes, will send youth from underserved communities to one of six Tim Hortons summer camps, including two in Ontario and one each in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Manitoba, and Alberta.

Along with coffee purchases, customers can help the cause by rounding up their order to the nearest 10 cents, purchase a Camp Day donut, $2 donation badge, or Camp Day bracelets, while supplies last.

Since 1991, Tims Camps have raised over $275 million, supporting nearly 350,000 youth at no cost to them or their families. Organizers say through their camping experiences, kids build leadership skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships.
