The Tire Take Back program is raising money through old tires of all things.

The Ontario Tire Stewardship runs the annual campaign, and next week people can drop off old tires to participating auto recyclers, tire companies and repair shops.

Claudia Hawkins is the Director of Programs of Education says the money goes to the Sunshine Foundation. “It’s a national charitable organization that makes dreams come true for children living with a severe physical disability and life threatening illnesses,” says Hawkins.  “We like to say we’re transforming tires into dreams.”

Nearly $1-million has been donated to the cause. Details can be found by clicking here.
