Tonight marks the annual coldest night of the year event.
Chatham-Kent Councilors Karen Kirkwood-Whyte and Amy Finn are leading this year’s effort along with municipal staff and community leaders.
100 communities across the country are taking part in this walk to showcase the plight of the homeless.
Those participating will have a choice of a 5 or 10 K walk beginning at 4 pm at the Hub and a warm meal will be served between 6-8.
They are hoping to raise $25,000 to help fund NeighbourLink projects, which includes visiting shut ins and helping with transportation issues.
