A number of Chatham-Kent residents had a little too much to drink over the weekend.
Two men are facing charges of being intoxicated in public. According to Chatham-Kent Police, the first was arrested Friday night after being found lying in the middle of Tweedsmuir Avenue in Chatham. The second was located in an agitated state on Young Street in Tilbury around 2 o’clock Saturday morning. Both were held in custody until they sobered up.
Another Chatham man was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with drunk driving on Richmond Street in Chatham. About an hour later, a Chatham woman was also charged with driving while impaired, stopped by police on Grand Avenue East in Chatham. The two were both released with dates in court later this month.
