Chatham-Kent police are investigating the theft of tools in Wallaceburg and Blenheim.
On Tuesday night an unknown suspect or suspects broke into an apartment building on Wallace street through an unlocked window and took about $300 dollars worth of tools.
Also Tuesday someone forced their way into a shed and 2 storage lockers at a business on Cathcart Street in Blenheim.
They stole a number of Dewalt, Mastercraft and Maximum power tools valued at $5000.
