A tornado has been confirmed to have occurred over Lake Erie, south of Wheatley.
The Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP) said an EF0 tornado was captured on video over the water on August 28 at around 7 p.m.
Along with two other tornadoes recorded around the same time near Port Bruce, the storm either had a visible spray vortex or clear condensation to the horizon.
No damage was reported.
The Northern Tornadoes Project was founded at Western University in 2017 to better detect tornadoes throughout Canada and improve severe and extreme weather understanding.
