Townhouse Unit Significantly Damaged Due To Fire

Damage is pegged at around $100,000 following a fire at a townhouse in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue responded to the blaze at 200 Westcourt Blvd. at around 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fire officials said crews quickly extinguished the fire that started in a living room and were able to contain it to one townhouse unit.

However, the whole unit sustained heavy smoke and heat damage.

No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire has been listed as accidental.
