A Wallaceburg man has been charged after police discovered methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers stopped a vehicle on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg on Sunday at around 7:26 p.m.
Police said the driver’s license had been suspended and officers spotted an open can of alcohol in the driver’s door. Following a search, officers also discovered a significate quantity of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle’s console.
A 37-year-old Wallaceburg man is now charged with possession of a controlled substance with the purpose of trafficking. He has been released from custody with a future court date.
