Reports of a man in distress has resulted in drug trafficking charges.
Police responded to a call for help on Jane Street in Thamesville just before 11:30 Saturday night, with a witness telling officers that a man was bent over and not responding to request to help.
The man was found and authorities say the 41-year-old was already wanted by police.
A search of the accused turned up several controlled substances, each individually packaged, along with other items used in the sale and distribution of drugs.
The man is now charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
