Complaints to police about a vehicle parked in a McNaughton Avenue lot in Wallaceburg have landed two people with charges.

Officers located the suspect vehicle around 6 o’clock Saturday morning and say the driver, a 45-year-old woman, was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. Her male passenger was also wanted for missing court, and both were taken into custody.

A search later turned up suspected fentanyl and ammunition.

The woman is charged with weapons offences and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. She was released with a future court date.

The man, a 37-year-old from Chatham, has been charged with several breaches in connection to a weapons prohibition and curfew order, as well as possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
