A special flag raising ceremony is being held at the Civic Centre in Chatham over the noon-hour today, honouring Transgender Day of Remembrance.
The day itself is November 20th, but the week leading up to it is being used to raise awareness and support for the trans community, and honouring the those lives that have been lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.
All COVID protocols, including masks and physical distancing, will be in place for today’s flag raising ceremony.
