The Dresden Legion has received some significant upgrades thanks to a recent provincial grant.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 113 has used a $97,800 capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to install new windows and siding to its aging building on St George Street North.

The project was completed on March 8.

“The impact of this Ontario Trillium Foundation grant cannot be overstated,” said Legion President Brent Mossop. “This grant has allowed needed renovations to be made. Our building now has new windows and siding that will contribute to the safety, esthetics and energy efficiency of the building. These upgrades will support the building and allow us to serve our community better.”

The Legion is used by a variety of community organizations and families for meetings, celebrations and fundraisers.
