Two Chatham residents are facing charges in connection to a drug bust this week.

Thursday afternoon, just before 5:30, officers executed a warrant at a Michener Road apartment as part of an ongoing investigation.

Authorities say roughly $16,000 worth of fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA, oxycodone and diazepam were seized, along with digital scales, packaging material, cell phones, and Canadian currency.

A 39-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Chatham were arrested and charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Both were taken to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
