Two Thamesville residents are facing charges in connection with an ongoing investigation into a pair of break-and-enters in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a break-and-enter at a business on Arnold Street on February 14 and again on February 16. It is unknown if any property was stolen during either incident.
During an investigation, officers with the Intelligence Unit learned that evidence connected to the offences was likely located at a residence near Thamesville.
The Intelligence Unit and the Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at the property on Thursday and located a vehicle that is believed to have been used during the break-ins.
As a result, a 39-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, both from Thamesville, have been each charged with two counts of break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence. They were held in custody for a bail hearing.
The investigation remains ongoing.
