Provincial Police continue to investigate a pair of collisions on the 401 through Chatham-Kent.
Shortly before 11 o’clock this morning, emergency crews responded to the highway just east of Bloomfield Road.
Authorities say while trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle, a transport driver lost control and rolled into the median. Two people in the truck suffered minor injuries.
Meantime, about half an hour later, a second-rear end collision involving two transports was reported in the same area, leaving both drivers with minor injuries.
Later, Chatham-Kent Police reported another crash as traffic was being detoured through Chatham, shutting down Park Avenue East between Sass Road and Siemens Drive.
The eastbound lanes between Bloomfield and Communication Road were closed for several hours, finally reopening shortly after 9 Tuesday night.
