The spread of COVID-19 continues to be a concern for Chatham-Kent’s hospital with two new outbreaks declared.
Chatham-Kent Public Health has declared an outbreak in the Complex Continuing Care Unit and in the Medicine B Unit at the Chatham site of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
The hospital said the outbreaks were declared on Tuesday after multiple cases of COVID-19 were detected, which were acquired in the respective units.
CKHA said a number of additional initiatives have been implemented, which will remain in place until the outbreaks are declared over.
Chatham-Kent Public Health is scheduled to release its weekly overview of the pandemic within the municipality on Wednesday.
