A local teen is fighting for their life in hospital following a single-vehicle collision just south of Chatham.
Emergency crews responded to Communication Road near Drury Line shortly after 8 o’clock Thursday evening after the driver lost control and crashed.
The driver, a 33-year-old Chatham man, was not hurt. However, Chatham-Kent Police say two passengers, a 25-year-old Blenheim man and 16-year-old Chatham girl were taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for treatment. The teen was later transferred to Victoria Hospital in London with life-threatening injuries.
The Chatham-Kent Traffic Management Unit has taken over the investigation.
