A two-vehicle crash near Ridgetown has claimed a life.
Around 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon, a 32-year-old Chatham woman was driving on Gosnell Line when her vehicle collided with another car, heading north on Victoria Road.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 60-year-old Chatham woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, another 60-year-old, was air-lifted to hospital in London where she is listed in stable condition.
The driver of the first car and a 13-year-old passenger both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
Out of respect for the family, the name of the deceased driver will not be released at this time.
Meantime, around 6:30 Saturday evening, emergency crews responded to Coutts Line for a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.
The driver, a 52-year-old Sobmra man, was heading east near Baert Road when he lost control and struck a ditch. The driver, whose name has not been released, was killed.
