Two men have been arrested in connection with vehicle theft at the University of Guelph-Ridgetown campus on the weekend.
Police received a call about a suspicious man in Erieau about 4 o’clock this morning.
They spotted a pick up stuck in a puddle on Kerr Avenue.
One man behind the wheel, and another pushing. Officers recognized the stolen truck and arrested the driver but the other man ran off.
A short while later he approached the officers from behind and struggled with the officers while they tried to arrest him.
Eventually they used a taser to subdue him.
A 32 year old Thamesville man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over 5,000, obstruction police and carrying a concealed weapon.
A 29 year old man from Moraviantown was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over 5,000, obstruct police and 2 counts assault police.
