COVID-19 is affecting two election campaigns in Ontario.
Both NDP leader Andrea Horwath and Green Party leader Mike Schreiner have tested positive for the virus and say they will be continuing their campaigns remotely for the time being.
Horwath is currently in norther Ontario and had plans for a number of stops around Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay today.
Schreiner had already cleared his schedule for the day and is isolating at home after testing positive yesterday.
Both took part in a televised leaders’ debate earlier this week, alongside Conservative leader Doug Ford and the Liberal’s Steven Del Duca. Sources say both Ford and Del Duca have so far tested negative.
